Macro is a compositional trick which allows the viewer to have a closer look at the things in life that us the human eye may not see. Also, it creates a small depth-of-field, which means that the backgrounds tend to get blurry real quickly. This technique also creates an artistic feeling.

I really like your macro picture because its not something that you would like at. It is so ordinary because you can see the animals and spider webs around it. This you would not see anywhere you would have to take a good look at it. Though I really like your picture and nice creativity.
