Quilts

Inside me: I based this square on how i kind of see myself, which is a very welcoming person. I am also a person who keep's her family really close to her because in the end they're going to be the people who are going to be there for you and support you. My symbol in this quilt is the chain heart. I choose this symbol because me and my dad fight alot and i know he's always going to see me as his little girl and i am always going to hold him close to my heart.

Outside me: This quilt is about how people see me on the outside. How people see me on the outside is kind of how i am on the inside but i try not to let it show but obviously it does. This quilt shows alot of things, such as the fact that i like to hold alot of things in and the butterfly next to the chained lock symbolizes that i want to release everything, the brick wall also shows that i tend to have walls up with people alot. Overall, i like this quilt because it shows alot of things and it is my favorite one.

Past: Well, where to begin!? This quilt is about my past, it's very simple but detailed very well. In this quilt, the butterfly that holds the main emphasis symbolizes freedom. I choose this to symbolize freedom because there are several meaning's that are very personal to this quilt, such as someone passing away, letting go, having a child, and growing up. I really dont want to say too much about this quilt but if you look deep into it with the little information i gave you, you will get the picture. (;

Future: In this quilt, i wanted to give the viewer a little taste of what my goals are for the future. One of my main goals are to one day collect all of the converse shoes there is out there, i want to collect all of them because they are my favorite type of shoe and they suit my style. A few of my goals for the future are to graduate from college and become a registered nurse, to get married and one day eventually have a child. Till then, i am a focused student trying to make her way through school.
