I feel i was most successful with the quilt squares, because it gave me a chance to express myself in a way i never thought i would have. i also liked this one the most, because it gave me a chance to show people through art of who i really am without saying anything. Out of all of the projects we have done, i struggled the most with the lyrics project, mostly because of the fact that i wasn't at school for most of the instructions on how to do it.
In the future, i could improve my photography skills more by practicing and probably putting more time and effort into it. my favorite thing that I've learned in this class would have to be that you don't always have to use flash. it is known that most people often use flash on their cameras because the digital camera automatically chooses everything for you. the reason why i would rather not use flash, is because you get a chance to see natural lighting and it looks really beautiful rather than putting on your flash button and blacking out your whole background. I'm sure i will use the skills i have learned in the future, because if you give the effort... you will get beautiful results.
The project that connected most to my life would be the quilt squares, because in each square it expressed allot of personal stuff, like things that i wouldn't really talk about and it felt good doing this project because it gave me a chance to kind of shout things out and get it off my chest but in reality i wasn't saying anything in words.
The artist that i feel i can relate to most, would be Robert Parke Harrison, because he makes things that are unreal but seem real. He also has a dream like world, almost like a fantasy where things that are impossible become possible. I can relate to that on several levels because I have always had my own little dream like world of things that are very unusual and not real.
Overall in this class, i have had allot of great and fun experiences even through the ups and downs of life. you have helped me through quite a few things and you give me such an inspiration to keep pushing myself to do better and not let things get me down. also, you have taught me allot of great tools and tricks with cameras and photo shop that i will definitely use in the future. well miss cook!!.. i hate to say it, but this is my last year, i am a soon to be a graduated senior class of 2010. i love your class, it has always been my favorite! and i would like to say good luck with the future classes, i hope all the students will love your class as much as i did. :)
